Walt’s History
Walt’s Roast Beef was incorporated in 1957 and our first restaurant was opened in Cranston, Rhode Island. In 1977 Ray Perrotta and George Gomes formed Pergom, Inc. and bought the rights to franchise the business. Now Walt’s Roast Beef has five convenient locations in Rhode Island. You’ll find them in Cranston, Pawtucket, North Kingstown and at two locations in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Since 1957 we have been the Roast Beef Specialists. For over 50 years Walt’s has been making the most delicious roast beef sandwiches the same way, using fresh roast beef, not frozen. Walt’s Roast Beef is not processed. It has no artificial preservatives, no nitrates, and no artificial coloring. We serve local (USDA) beef from the United States, not imported. Walt’s doesn’t cut corners when it comes to preparing food for you and your family. Our roast beef is slow-roasted for hours and sliced fresh from the roast, just like it was when we opened our first restaurant.
Walt’s Roast Beef is definitely a delicious and healthy alternative to fast food!
