The phrase “The Roast Beef Specialists” has been associated with Walt’s Roast Beef from their early beginnings. Walt’s Roast Beef was incorporated in 1957 and their first restaurant was opened in Cranston, Rhode Island. In 1977 Raymond Perrotta and George Gomes formed Pergom, Inc. and bought the rights to franchise the business.

Soon after, Walt’s Roast Beef International, Inc. was formed with a change in ownership. Owners and Directors are Raymond Perrotta and Glen Miguel.

Today, Walt’s Roast Beef continues to have a reputation as being “The Roast Beef Specialists” and has grown to six convenient locations throughout Rhode Island. You’ll find them in Cranston, Pawtucket, North Kingstown, North Providence and two locations in Warwick, Rhode Island.

Since 1957, Walt’s Roast Beef has been known as the “The Roast Beef Specialists.” For over 55 years Walt’s has been making the most delicious roast beef sandwiches the same way, using fresh choice beef—never frozen. Walt’s Roast Beef is not processed. It has no artificial preservatives, nitrates, or artificial coloring. Walt’s Roast Beef Restaurants serve USDA choice beef from the United States, not imported. Walt’s doesn’t cut corners when it comes to preparing food for you and your family. Walt’s roast beef is slow-roasted for hours and sliced fresh from the roast, just like it was when the first restaurant was opened in 1957.

Over the years the menu has expanded to include fish & chips (available at most locations), pastrami, ham, pulled pork, grilled cheese, and roasted turkey. Sides include French fries, onion rings, garden salad, baked beans, and potato salad. At Walt’s there is something for every member of the family. For a more affordable meal, try a Walt’s combo. Walt’s Roast Beef is a delicious and healthy alternative to fast food!
